Currently, the Illinois Firearm Concealed Carry Act prohibits concealed firearms in 23 locations, including schools, child care facilities, and court rooms. Places of worship are not included in those 23 locations. Illinois State Senator Julie Morrison (D-Deerfield) introduced a plan (Senate Bill 2231) to prohibit concealed firearms in churches, synagogues, temples, mosques, and other places of worship.
