East Chicago, IN, which is just 25 miles from Chicago, is facing a water crisis. The EPA estimates that up to 90% of the households are at risk of lead exposure. The Sierra Club is organizing a water drive to help the community until a long term solution is able to be enacted. They'll be collecting water, replacement filter cartridges, and funds to purchase both throughout the month of July.
